Skelwith Fold is set in the heart of the Lake District National Park and boasts magnificent views of the Langdale Pikes.
A fabulous base from which to explore the Lake District and its many
interesting attractions, Skelwith Fold is just a short distance from
both Ambleside and Hawkshead, with their many shops, boutiques, cafes,
pubs and restaurants.
Skelwith Fold's 120 touring pitches are scattered throughout our
130-acre woodland site, offering guests the opportunity to cohabit with
wildlife, woodland, wetland and fell habitats found within the caravan
park's boundaries.
All of our touring pitches are hard standing, offer electric hook-up
and are conveniently located for use of the free toilet and shower
blocks. Guests have access to laundry facilities, water standpipes and
the reception can offer a gas exchange. There is even a Trust Library,
internet access and a well stocked shop.
We pride ourselves on our touring pitches and we regularly take steps
to improve them so that they remain of the highest standard. We
recently added 15 Premium Pitches; each pitch boasts a water stand pipe,
grey waste drain, TV and electric hook-up and a picnic table.
Skelwith Fold has an excellent village style self service shop.
As well as everyday essentials you will find a wide range of locally
sourced produce including Cumbrian Way ready meals, Appleby cakes,
English Lakes ice cream, Romneys sweets, Pinks meats, Coniston beers,
Hawkshead beers and Strawberry Bank liqueurs. Bread and croissants are baked by our staff each morning before
opening and newspapers are kept in stock. Both of which can be ordered
so you can enjoy a lay-in assured that your breakfast, lunch and paper
won't be sold out when you make your way to the shop.
To book please call 015394 32277. Advance booking is always recommended and essential for Bank Holidays and school holidays.
